Do you pay close attention to things you purchase? What they may be saying about you, or more specifically - what they may be saying TO you?
Whenever I shop, I take notice of merchandise that has wording on it - possibly a catchy, or #trending phrase. It might be snarky, or just plain witty. Or it might go in the complete opposite direction!
Do you recall the phase where a hot item was a pair of sweats with "PINK" or "JUICY" written across the backside? JUICY? REALLY?
Don't. Just don't. Ladies, have a little (LOT) more respect for yourselves than that!

In 2015, advertisers spent almost $600 BILLION worldwide on marketing. But customers vote with their $$$ (cha-ching!). Little do you know, your subconscious mind decides for you 90% of what you buy.
Think about (in what little of your power is conscious) what you are CHOOSING to fill your mind with and the ripple effect this may have.
Martin Lindstrom is a Danish author and Time magazine Influential 100 Honoree in 2009, for his work in the area of neuromarketing. At age 12, he started his own agency and began his successful career, coining the term "Buyology" in regard to marketing and the corresponding emotional triggers.
What is buy-ology? It entails subconcious thoughts, feelings, and desires that drive purchasing decisions we make daily.
Lindstrom is very focused on neuromarketing, which is a synergy of medical knowledge, technology, and marketing. It both uncovers what our brains really want from companies and enables companies to deliver what we want to us!
Items that evoke emotions are key. What emotions are you allowing to take over your life by the wrong self-talk? Are you putting in place a system to put GOOD thoughts in? (Meditations, self-affirmations, etc.) Because this should be an activity (note the word "active" as the root of this word!) you go through daily. How about right when you get up in the morning?
